Join us for our second phase in this Chicago Monuments Project, “Pilsen Latina Legacies”. We will be gathering, and workshop to build ideas for a monument celebrating the history of our community!
The Pilsen Latina Legacies team will lead an educational presentation centered on what traditional monuments have been for a city like Chicago.
Sharing stories of the impactful women in our lives and in our communities will be highlighted to inspire ideas for what a modern monument or place of gathering could look like in Pilsen.
We will break out into groups to physically build on these ideas and will complete cardboard models that will be used in the creative process of the remaining phases of this special project.
