Our family has lived at 18th and Racine since 1987.  We have been active members of the arts community in several ways. Our daughter Trillion is an artist and helped restore our 1984 historical mural on 18th St. Our oldest son is working tirelessly to improve our property by working on a  Ballroom space - Mocambo Studio, to be used for private and community events. We are here because this is our life and we love living in Pilsen.

Alfredo is an artist whose favourite modes of inquiry remain drawing and painting.  His work is projected through explorations of the ineffable nature of consciousness and considered research of materials, entheogenic plants, and ethnography.  His work takes starting points from art history’s gamut of figure painting to process oriented art, and is meant as an open invitation to the perceiver to reimagine the limits of visual objects.      Alfredo studied at The Cooper Union School of Art, New York, NY (BFA, 2005).  He lives and works in the Pilsen neighbourhood of Chicago and supports his art practice by working as an art-handler.
