ARTIST BIO/STATEMENT:
I’m a Pilsen Based Indigenous Mexica Artist and Activist this Oxidation on Steel Series was inspired by growing up in post industrial era of South/East Chicago Harbor IN, surrounded by old Decaying Mill Remnants and Rusted Steel. In this series I am bringing to light the AIM Movement and the occupation of Wounded Knee in 1973 for Indigenous Civil Rights and in Honor and Memory of Sunka Cangi Lakota Sundance Holyman Chief Lenard Crowdog… A’ho Mitakuye Oyasin
