About the Event

Poetry can be a portal to release what you’ve been holding onto the page.

Join Rocio Franco, @chio_la_chingona, for a two-part Poetry as Portal workshop.

December 10th  / 12pm-2pm

We’ll discuss misconceptions about poetry, poems from Chicago-raised and based poets/Latinx/Chicanx poets, and have fun writing prompts to get us writing. Let’s talk, write, and be in community together.

*All writing levels are welcome.

*Bring your notebooks and pens/pencils or laptop.

*We encourage attending both dates, but showing up to one is ok too.

*Recommended for ages 18+

** Workshops are accessible to everyone. Please select your ticket registration that best fits your accesibility.
