My creations are stemmed from the exploration of the female form and psychology, specifically dreams. I focus mainly on women, specifically women of color because our bodies are policed and exploited, and I am seeking to change the perception of black women, as well as other women of color. I take a reactive approach to the creative process by letting the medium do the 'talking'. Aimlessly throwing paint around, I develop patterns amongst the female form in the foreground. My work is heavily driven by emotion, dreams, and what it means to be a women.
