Every participating artist is asked to talk about their connection to Pilsen. And if new to the neighborhood, to describe what drew them here.
This is what the Shudio shares with us:
"The Shudio has been collaborating with independent artists and creatives in Pilsen for over 6 years. We were originally drawn to the neighborhood because of it's dedication to the artistic community with an emphasis on community enrichment and involvement. We have loved featuring an ever evolving roster of artists for our 2nd Friday's monthly features, and look forward to resuming full time when it's safe to do so!"

ARTIST BIO & STATEMENT
Hailey M. Losselyong is a Chicago-based visual artist who uses a wide variety of “canvases” to display abstract portraits of women. “I want people to see themselves in my work. Whether it be identifying with facial features or relating to an emotion. The goal is to highlight the duality of people while also making them feel good about themselves. The work can be light hearted or heavy, muted or colorful, detailed or simple.”
